"Konversation from the Klondike"

Howdy everyone, and thanx for clicking in on my debut column for both the DWF and Psycho Fed online sites. Whether your a member of either fed, a BYW (that's backyard wrestling for you cave dwellers) fan, a wrestling fan in general, or you really don't know where the hell you are or how the hell you got here, hopefully you'll find this column way more entertaining than I can imagine it will probably be. Hopefully by the time it's done I'll have said somethin worthwhile.

Anywayz, I should probably start off by more formally introducing myself. My name's Ty, but in the world of BYW (<~~did u remember that, this time?) I'm more widely well known as "the big Alaskan" Soilent Green, reigning DWF World Champion (although im not really from Alaska...go figure) and not quite as well known as the masked golfer "Mr. Sunday". I've been with the DWF since it's creation, including the times that have since then been wiped from the record (for all of our benefits).

In any case, I won't waste space describing my career thus far, although that information is definitely available by visiting DeadlyWrestling.com, the official site of the deadliest federation around!!! ...Ok, I don't really know why I put that plug there since chances are you are already here, but hey, now John can't say I didn't give it a plug! :o) Ok, anyway, on to DWF issues, pF issues, and anything else that comes to mind:

First off, I'd like to address the talent and crew of the Pyscho Fed.

Now, I'm not one to kiss ass, but I'd like to take advantage of the fact that this is my time to talk to personally thank them for the trip they made down the DWF country a couple months ago for the inter-promotional card we did. I think the collaboration between our 2 feds has done wonders for both of us, and I look forward to working with ya guys in the future. It was really cool of the pF guys to all take the time off work and whatnot to come down as a group to put on the show. And even though all of the trips John and Ben have made up to Oshkosh have probably made up for it, I hope that one day we can return the favor, and get our guys to come up your way. Or, if nothing else, that I personally can return the favor by getting my own ass up there. Right now I'm gonna see what I can do about maybe gettin there for Messiah Day.

And on slight side note while it's on my mind, I wanna thank John for all of the time he takes into makin the tapes and the time he spends on the website, and I wanna commend Rob on the job he's done with the Pf page. I love the Halloween intro! Although, where's the Soilent Green bio???? :o) I guess I gotta get up there first, huh?

As for DWF news, earlier today we hosted part 2 of our "last days of summer 'tour'",and I was involved in 3 matches.

I won't say too much about Mr. Sundays matches, although they are fun as hell to do and I hope he is as funny to everyone else as he is to me...although I think at some point I should take the time in a column to explain the backstory to his gimmick, which is where most of the humor comes from. As for the quality of them right now it's sad enough that I don't really care to admit to it, but for the time being I can chalk that up to being too goofy, and more importantly to the various costume problems I'm having with him. Mainly, keeping my damn mask on!!!! Although I got a great Afro wig for him, which is just hilarious...I think we should change his name to "The Jamaican Satan" heh heh

And although I dont' wanna spend too much time on the subject cuz I know Ben's planning on writing a column about it, I wanna compliment all of the DWF in general for as far as we've come this summer. From going from about 4 wrestlers to around 15-20 (rough spur of the moment estimate), to the increase in the quality of our matches I think we need to give ourselves a pat on the back. But more importantly I wanna express my satisfaction on how great our storylines have been!!! I really think that this summer we have pulled out some of the best storylines and angles and plot twists and turns and character development that I've seen in wrestling in years, if ever!! Of course much of this credit goes to John and Travis as the "final words" in the DWF, but also Ben and myself (hey, I can't always be modest) for our input, as well as all of the other guys for their suggestions and the great ideas about their gimmicks and characters.

And lastly in this debut column I wanna extend congratualtions and express my thanx to Rich Reckless for our awesome match today!!! With Rich being a newcomer, and still viewed as green in the ring, the match today was very important to prove whether he was worthy of his spot as #1 contender. And I, along with some others im guessing, felt it was my responsibility to really bring Rich out in this match and to show everyone just what Rich Reckless is all about.

And I'm very pleased to say that Rich certainly proved himself to me, and I didn't have to carry him through the match at all! Which is a good thing, I think, since I was using this match to attempt furthering some of my own skills. I was aiming to bring out a couple of new moves, and mainly to get away from my more brawling, hardcore nature and get down to some actual wrestling. And even though I reached for the pool cue more times than I meant to, I think I made some improvements, and look to get into the more psychological aspects of ringwork soon, hopefully when I start working with Travis. I'll be getting into my reasons for this change next column.

In any case, my thanx to Rich...for when at the end of the match I said, in character, said that he had earned my respect and earned a chance at the title, I meant it for real, too.

Well, I think that's enough for this time. I hope ya all enjoyed it and it wasnt too much senseless rambling.

Keep checkin back for next time, where I'll be discussing the nature of Backyard Wrestling in general and the rap it gets and how it is percieved to the public and the effect it has had on me(as I mentioned above.) Also, I'll be discussing some of the politics that from time to time exists in BYW, even in our own fed, and explain my motives behind why I tend to opt out of them. All that and any other news in the DWF and random thoughts next time on "Konversation from the Klondike!"

Thanx for reading

Ty
