DWF/pF Monumental Terror 2000 Preview
8/10/00
In less then
two weeks, the DWF Superstars will met those of the pSyChO Fed in one of the
biggest inter-promotional shows. DWF vs pF matches will occur and in the DWF
Main Event, Rocky Relentless will finally met Soilent Green! Now, join us for a
look at the card as it stands now (card subject to change).
1. Grudge Match: Little James/Paulie Lagrasso vs Blue Bobcat: Isn't it
weird that THIS match has history behind it? A few weeks ago at pF's Napster
Support Show, Little James earned his FIRST WIN over the Bobcat in one of the
weirdest matches in BYW History. No doubt the Bobcat's looking for
revenge.....or something, anyway, don't expect a classic here.
2. DWF Quad Cities Championship: Tybolt Lemur vs Static: Static takes on
his second DWF Superstar (the first being Rocky Relentless) and gets a shot at
the second highest title in the DWF. Tybolt's had a short string of bad lucky
lately, losing his role as DWF Commissioner to Stardust at "August
Conflict". But Tybolt still has his belt.....and his pride! Static brings a
wild unpredictable brawling style with him to Iowa, and the ability to take A
LOT of punishment. Tybolt can dish it out, as we've seen over the last few
shows. Tybolt can work a hardcore style like he did at "Panic in
Davenport" so except a brawl from these two. Can Static become the fist pF
wrestler to hold a DWF title?
3. "Too Good" Trevor Gaze vs Angel of Death: Simply said:
Trevor made fun of Angel's "love" Belldandy (the fictional character
of the Oh My Goddess comic book). Angel failed to gain revenge at "August
Conflict" but will be looking for some here. Angel didn't do to great in
his first pSyChO Fed appearance, but this is against a DWF Star. The snobbish
Trevor will have to be looking to hit the "Too Good Disaster" or else
the angry Angel is going to tie up this feud.
4. "Loser Loses the Rich" Match: Rich Sontag vs Rich Reckless: Two
Richs is too much for Backyard Wrestling, and in this match the loser will have
to drop the "Rich" from their ring name! Sontag has nearly 10 years of
experience in the ring, which could prove fatal for Reckless. Reckless will have
to go for broke in this match to keep his name, and perhaps look to help from
Stardust or Rocky Relentless.
5. pF World Title, Three Way Dance: Justin Sane vs pSyChO Rob vs Papa Fly:
During his time in the "Boyz of Summer" Papa Fly had to hear about
Stardust's matches in pF, now "The Other PF" gets a shot at one of the
biggest prizes in the backyard today. This could be the career turning point for
Papa Fly as he meets Justin Sane, considered to be one of the futures of pF, and
backyard legend pSyChO Rob! Will Papa Fly be in over his head, we doubt it. He's
coming off a needed break and still fired up over what Stardust did to him. Now
with the Stardust/Rob alliance, Papa Fly has motivation to go after "The
Messiah of Backyard Wrestling". Justin may just be trapped in the middle.
If Papa Fly is taken lightly, we may see the first ever inter-promotional pF
Champion.
6. The Rematch, One Year Later: Shane Hunt vs Stardust: This is the match
and feud that started it all. Stardust's win over Shane one year ago created the
arrogant, cocky Stardust we've seen for 12 months now. One DWF World Title, a CW
Cruiserweight Title, and a couple Tag Titles (one WITH Shane!) later and
Stardust is ready to take on Shane again. Their brief alliance has broken down
as everyone knew it would, leading to this match. This time, however, the match
is on Stardust's turf. Will Stardust score the win again, or will Shane continue
this show's theme of "revenge" and defeat his hated main inter-promotional
rival?
7. DWF Main Event, DWF World Title: Rocky Relentless vs Soilent Green:
More then a year ago, Soilent Green brought Rocky into the DWF, and ever since
then, it's been Rocky and Soilent together. Even though they have been forced to
fight each other, they have always backed each other up. Rocky refereed
Soilent's World Title win at "Wars End" and seemingly left the DWF.
But when Soilent knew he wasn't going to make it to "Panic In
Davenport" to take on Papa Fly, Rocky volunteered to defend his title for
him. Rocky then tricked Tybolt into giving Rocky himself a shot at the World
Title later that same in should he lose Soilent's title. Then...the takeover
began as Rocky laid down and lost Soilent's title to PF!! A simple "Soilent
Green's a loser" from Rocky told the tale, Rocky betrayed his friend to get
at the Title! Later that day, Stardust turned on Papa Fly and the master plan
was revealed. Rocky and Stardust had put their hatred aside and joined with Rich
Reckless to keep the title off Soilent Green. Rocky defeated Soilent again at
"August Conflict" in a brutal Four Way Dance, but that wasn't Soilent
at 100%. Sunday, August 20th, Rocky and Soilent will meet again, one more time,
for the title. On this day, I don't think anyone wants to be Rocky Relentless.
8. Midwest Take Over Match: Stardust/pSyChO Rob/NEXT vs DWF/PF: A preview of
this match will up later this week once we get the details.
